Today’s analysis offers a comprehensive overview of the gold market, highlighting the key fundamental and technical factors shaping current trends. This report is designed to provide investors with the insights needed to navigate the market with confidence.

Fundamental Analysis

Gold surged to fresh record highs above $3,750 as market anxiety intensifies ahead of the upcoming US PMI data and a highly anticipated speech by Fed Chair Powell. Growing expectations of additional Federal Reserve rate cuts, coupled with sustained safe-haven demand driven by geopolitical tensions, continue to support the precious metal. However, buying momentum has paused as investors await these key US events.

Gold

The daily Relative Strength Index (RSI), currently at 76, is trading in overbought territory, which could prompt some profit-taking in gold. The recent rally from the breakout point of a bullish flag pattern—now turned support near the $3,675 region—warrants caution for XAU/USD bears. It would be prudent to wait for a confirmed break below this level before anticipating further downside toward the $3,647–$3,610 area.

On the upside, the $3,780–$3,800 zone poses an immediate resistance, followed by the $3,838 level. A sustained move above this threshold could act as a fresh bullish trigger, potentially allowing gold to extend its recent breakout momentum and continue the broader uptrend established over the past month.

Meanwhile, the short-term Stochastics Oscillator sits at an elevated 94, reinforcing the overbought conditions and the possibility of a near-term pullback.
